The most gorgeous vintage Japanese Kimono robe. I do not know the origin of this lovely Kimono as I got it in a market in Asia but I believe it to have some age & it could be aprox 50 years old. It is made from a beautiful delicate soft blush pink silk which has an embossed chrysanthemum design on it. It has a large white textured collar which also has a metallic floral pattern printed on it. The kimono is unlined. I believe this is a nagajuban which is worn under a formal kimono & because of its long sleeves I also believe this is a Furisode kimono which would have been worn by an unmarried women. (Furisode translates as swinging sleeves.) in lovely vintage condition. The silk is soft but still very strong. There are a few little pin holes on the back & a few small stains including a visible mark on the collar. This is a lovely Kimono...it could be hung as decoration or worn with a little black dress for a glamorous night out. Measurements when laid flat.
