The most beautiful handmade Japanese style Temari ball decoration. Temari balls are a traditional Japanese folk art. Originally made from remnants of old kimonos, they were given as toys to children on New Years Eve. Today they are highly valued & cherished gifts & symbolise deep friendship & loyalty. This lovely ball is a modern interpretation of a traditional Temari ball. It features bright thread hand wound around a polystyrene ball in beautiful geometric patterns. It has a gold thread with two little brass balls attached for hanging. in lovely new condition. Perfect for a colourful christmas tree or just to hang as an ornament.
