Eierlig, A handcrafted lamp made with an unhatched ostrich egg as its shade. The idea for this lamp, was to use organic materials which can be given back to nature, for the lampshade of this luminary, an Ostrich eggshell is used, for its link to warmth & creation. Here is the goal to repurpose that used eggshell & give it, a second life - Every eggshell that is used, is unique on its own & brings out a different ambient lighting effect that shines through its rigid shell. The eggshell is suspended onto a walnut wood tripod & comes with a dark grey textile cable, with a switch & E14 fitting for an LED lamp. Lamp dimensions (approximate): Height: 540mmx Width 300mm x Depth 300mm Lamp Materials: Ostridge egg, walnut wood, concrete, textile cable with power plug, switch & e14 fitting Lamp Bulb: E14 1x4W LED ( single led is included, it is advised to use LED lamps with max 5Watt ) Please note, that the pictures only give an example of the final product. Each lamp is handcrafted & that small deviations such as color deviations, scratches in the wood, bubbles in the concrete feet are not uncommon & that Each egg is a unique product, the deviations in the eggshells are caused by the natural organic production process.
