Vintage Sadler Pottery floral ginger jar. Small blue & white Chinese style ginger jar in the Oriental Lotus Blossom pattern. Decorated in a classic Chinese style with peony flowers & plum blossoms. Made in England by Sadler Pottery, this chinoiserie pattern china was very popular at the time & it appears to be gaining popularity again. Embossed maker's mark to underside of base; in very good vintage condition. Measuring approximately .... 13.5cm (5.5) height with lid, 12cm (4.5) height minus lid, 8cm (3) mouth diameter, 10.5cm (4) widest diameter. A really pretty storage jar, beautiful blue & white kitchen decor, use for cotton wool balls in the bathroom, a lidded vase or a nice display piece to cheer up a shelf with a pop of colour; there are a multitude of uses for these jars.
