This delightful vintage print with text is from the 1991 book Brambly Hedge Treasury by Jill Barklem & published by HarperCollins Publishers, London. Printed on thick paper with an image & text on the reverse, it measures 21cm x 28cm & is in very good condition. Jill Barklem (1951-2017) was a British writer & illustrator of children's books. Her most famous work is the Brambly Hedge series, published from 1980. She was drawn to the natural world ever since childhood. While training as an illustrator at St Martin's School of Art, her long journeys to college gave her time to escape into the imaginary world of a colony of mice, later to be developed as the enchanting miniature world of Brambly Hedge.
