Description
This listing is for a stunning large Vintage French Monogrammed Linen Towel which dates circa 1910-20. I have three in stock at the time of listing & the price is for ONE only. You can make your quantity selection from the drop down box. PLEASE NOTE: The other items in my photos are for decoration only & are not included in the price. Sourced in France & originally from a French Chateau these would have formed part of a girls trousseau. The French trousseau linens were intended to be brought from a young girl's life into her marriage. They were a prized collection of linens, including sheets, napkins, pillow cases etc, the size of which symboled the family's wealth. The monogramming of each item was in imitation of the aristocratic crests & continued well into the 20th century. These are all beautifully handmade in beige linen with a double red stripe & each is embroidered with the initials BB in red. All are in excellent condition & have never been used. It makes me wonder why & who BB was! Please see my photos in close up for more details as they make up part of the description. Each one measures 73 cm long x 57 cm wide. Today they can still be used, hung in your kitchen for decoration or perhaps be turned into a cushion cover. The choice is yours. I think they make a perfect Housewarming Gift particularly if your initials are BB. I mainly ship within the UK & USA & always use a tracked & signed for service. I will happily combine postage where possible for multiple purchases & always refund shipping overages but feel free to contact me prior to purchasing if you wish to buy all three so that I can adjust the cost. Thank you for looking & happy shopping. Vintage French Linen Tea Towel, Monogrammed Linen, Home Decor, Country Kitchen Decor
