My little animal models are inspired by the stories I tell myself when I walk in the forest near my home & my childhood toys. I created these unusual, quirky sculptures because I wanted to decorate my bedroom with little woodland creatures, crooked wooden houses & miniature Canadian log cabins. I build these from recycled vintage book pages - I do not use any wire structure underneath, each sculpture is built entirely from the paper. I paint each animal carefully by hand. Each sculpture is unique in shape, appearance & character. Also available in tiny scale inside my forest jars My animals are completely solid once all the layers of glue & paint are dry - they are light, not heavy to hold. They are robust & do not break if dropped. I use artists' quality acrylic paint on my models so they are colour fade resistant & water resistant, but please protect them from moisture & extremes of heat temperature. They are not weatherproof & are intended for indoor use only. If they collect a little dust, a dry paintbrush can be used to clean them.
