A console table made from a 1950s Singer sewing machine treadle table. Having the original iron treadle base with footplate which still moves back & forth, along with the drive wheel & patterned ironwork with the Singer name, this iconic British piece of machinery now has a new life as a console table. The table top is made from a thick piece of rustic vintage wood....so it is not a completely flat as new machined wood would be...then professionally painted in a black durable VOC & toxin free mineral paint with a central Art Deco retro design in gold, then finished with a clear wax for extra durability & effect. The base has been stripped then primed & finished with a smooth black hard wearing metal spray, then waxed. Measuring... Height...78 cm Width...65 cm Depth...45 cm Delivery is available with my friendly reliable courier, but please be aware that my courier works alone & will require help unloading. Most of my pieces are quite heavy so if you are unable to help unload please arrange for a family member, friend or neighbour to be available.
