Siemens & Halske (S & H) was incorporated in 1897, & then merged parts of its activities with Schuckert & Co., Nuremberg in 1903 to become Siemens Schuckert . in 1907, Siemens (Siemens & Halske & Siemens Schuckert ) had 34,324 employees & was the seventh-largest company in the German empire by number of employees. During the 1920s & 1930s, Siemens started to manufacture Lighting products radios, television sets, & electron microscopes., which continued into the 1940s. During the final years of WW2, numerous Siemens plants & factories in Berlin & other major cities were destroyed by Allied air raids. To prevent further losses, manufacturing was therefore moved to alternative places & regions not affected by the air war. The goal was to secure continued production of important war-related & everyday goods. According to records, Siemens was operating almost 400 alternative or relocated manufacturing plants at the end of 1944 & in early 1945. Condition Report Fully re wired & restored, some dents to the shades As with all of our products this product is an original piece & has lived a life before it arrived at Otto's HQ. It has been sympathetically restored by the Otto's team to ensure it has a life for many more years to come.
