This vase was thrown on the wheel. It was then stamped with the checker pattern. It is glazed in a lovely satin black all over except the recessed squares of the checker pattern, which are the natural color of the clay. It can also function as a utensil holder! It's a little shorter than my normal holders but works well for smaller items! It is a great size for a centerpiece vase as it is not too tall. 5.5 inches tall, 4 inch diameter.
