Fabulous blonde Ercol Goldsmith rocking chair with wide arms & distinctive back. A model 435 blue label, this dates the from the 1950s or 1960s. This is beautifully balanced with a smooth rock & long skids to prevent the chair tipping backwards. This the light blonde version in beech & elm... great size to fit in most homes, comfortable & in great solid condition. CONDITION: The seat is lovely, with some signs of wear which you would expect for a chair which is nearly 70 years. It still has its original studs to mount a cushion (these can be bought separately). This can be seen on the photos. A few wear marks on the arms & back which is from use & commensurate with age & only adds to the beauty. Solid condition with no wobble or loose joints. This chair has been professionally cleaned & waxed to remove dust & grime build up, but no renovation so it is in original condition. That being said as to be expected there are some markings, scratches & some dents, all commensurate with age, but nothing that can be pointed out as an issue.
