Entirely handmade piece - a unique pair of mugs for yourself or as a gift for a dog-lover. Handmade cappuccino/latte/tea mugs thrown on the potter's wheel in Stoke-on-Trent earthenware red clay & decorated with embossed illustrations of a running dog. Painted covered in vitreous ceramic slips that fuse with the clay. It is finished with splashes of coloured oxides & a clear glaze inside & out. Fired to approx 1100 degrees centigrade. Handles are hand-pulled & formed. These are unique, being designed & handmade & glazed entirely by myself, although I make a small, limited number of this style of mug, no two will ever be quite the same. They make a perfect gift, especially for a 'pottery' anniversary. Holds 12 -13 fluid ounce volume is based on mug being filled to within about an inch or half an inch of the rim.
