A beautiful, original antique school wall chart. On this map you can see the St. Lawrence Seaway in New York, USA. The St. Lawrence Seaway is a waterway developed between 1951 & 1959 between Lake Superior & Montreal, equipped with numerous canals & locks, whose depth allows even ocean-going vessels up to Seawaymax class to sail from the Atlantic Ocean, at the Gulf of St. Lawrence, up to 3700 kilometers into the interior of North America. It is located in the territory of Canada & the USA. The Saint Lawrence Current reaches a length of 1223 kilometers. Its origin is at the east end of Lake Ontario, the smallest of the Great Lakes. The entire river system, which includes the Great Lakes (including the source of the Saint Louis River in Minnesota), is 3219 kilometers long; the constructed seaway itself measures only 293 kilometers.
