I now offer a range of handmade desks & dining tables with hairpin legs. One of our beautiful CARSON table tops set on your choice of hairpin legs. Your table top will be handmade to order from solid redwood & finished with your choice of tint & two coats of high grade & eco friendly hard wax oil. All of our furniture is handmade is our very own modern workshop from our team of time served carpenters (over 85 years experience between the three of us). Tables of 60cm depth & over will be handmade with a traditional breadboard end for strength & stability. Prefer it without? I can add hidden steel supports to the underside. The hairpin legs are 71cm high & come in a choice of black or clear coated steel. These hairpin legs stay true to the original hairpins designed by Henry Glass in the 1940s. The leg shape is a slimline flute & sits at a slightly reclined angle. The table top & legs will come in separate packages - often on different days & will require some simple assembly (the legs will need screwing in to the pre drilled holes). hese tables are not your average rustic table - they are created with care, precision, great craftsmanship, honesty & integrity that will stand the test of time. That said, as with all solid wooden items they will move over time. a small amount of bowing is permissible. The table may indeed contact & expand with the seasons & we allow for this with the use of said breadboard end.
