A finely thrown porcelain bowl made by me in my garden studio here in Suffolk. The bowl was thrown in lovely white porcelain on my wheel & when it had dried a foot ring was turned for it. It was then fired once to harden it, & then second much higher firing for the glaze. Porcelain is a beautiful material work with & the higher firing than stoneware clay gives a beautiful lightness & translucency. The bowl has been glazed in a shiny clear hand mixed glaze. Simple & elegant it is an understated addition to any room. It could be used for decoration & also for treasure collections such as the dried flowers or sea glass I have photographed it with. It is also suitable for eating from & can go in the microwave or dishwasher - carefully - as it is very thin! It measures 5 inches across. Your purchase will come carefully wrapped & packaged securely in a sturdy cardboard box. I don’t use any plastic plastic in my packaging & it’s fully recyclable. Thank you for looking.
