Moroccan vintage rug, Berber Rug, vintage red & blue rug, Authentic rug, handmade rug, wool rug. The Gerber Beni M'Guild carpets are elaborated by the women in the tribe, in the Middle Atlas south Mecknes, between Ifrane & M'Rit cities, the capital is Azrou. They come from a mountainous region. They are elaborated with thicker wool, & as a particularity, just one color, with varied fringes due to the use of different wools during the elaboration time. Originally, they were blue, green & red; however for some time now, it isn't rare to find purple & orange. Some antique models possess, principally, traditional rhomboidal motives & fish thorn forms. The antique Beni M'Guild are rare & offer a risky decoration but of good results. Some motives can be reversible, being of color each side. Dimensions : 11.8 x 5.8 ft. 355 x 175 cm. Material: Wool of sheep.
