4 x 14" THIN ALUMINIUM HAIRPIN LEGS - Coffee Table Inspired by the classic mid-century design, Nimonic’s hairpin legs are handmade in the United Kingdom using 3/8" diameter & 1/2" diameter aluminium. The center rod gives the legs more rigidity that is required for most of today’s furniture. The legs are sold in their natural worked patina for a greater industrial look. Our hairpin legs have been sold to customers as far away as Australia & they are now used as project tables for Architect students in one of the UK’s major Arts Universities. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - Manufactured with superior T6 grade Aluminium - All welds are done via G.T.A.W process (more commonly known as T.I.G welding) - All fillet welds for maximum strength & a pleasing aesthetic appearance - Three prongs - Can be brushed for a satin finish, polished or painted in your choice of colour, or left just as it comes in a worked natural patina that will elegantly become part of any environment - Each aluminium hairpin weighs approximately a third of the weight of a steel equivalent For example: a 16" Aluminium chair leg weighs approx 520grams The Steel equivalent weighs approx 1.5kg so Four Aluminium Legs = approx 2kg , Four Steel Legs = approx 6kg You will receive our aluminium hairpin legs in their unfinished raw state to give you an authentic industrial look. They can be polished, brushed, painted or anodised (the weld will accept anodising). NOMINAL BASE PLATE DIMENSIONS - Unlike other manufacturers our base plates are handmade not mass produced CNC plasma or laser cut .
