SOLD SOLD THIS PIECE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE This fabulous Queen Anne style 1930's bureau desk has been totally transformed. The beautiful walnut veneers have been stripped & enhanced with a protective wax oil & the remainder of the body has been carefully painted in Dixie Belle Caviar, an intense black that makes the beautiful veneers come to life. This has been sealed with 2 coats of wax finish varnish for durability. The intense black continues inside the piece, contrasting beautifully with stencilling in an antique gold wax & original gold hardware. The result is incredibly bold & striking. This bureau would make a handsome focal point in any study or living space. Dimensions are: Height 102cm Width 77.5cm Depth 44cm closed Depth 73cm open This is a piece of considerable age, but is in a very good condition with minimal signs of wear & tear. It is very strong & sound in structure with a mahogany frame & walnut veneers. As with all of my pieces you are most welcome to view them at my workshop near Bath BS31 3.
