Lamb of Manchester mahogany bookcase. An unusually proportioned yet very useful bookcase made by Lamb. The base having a central cupboard door augmented by a carved stylised roundel typical of Lambs with open shelves supported by turned columns to either side & drawers over. Open bookcase top raised on a mirrored gallery, with a flared & stepped architectural cornice. Excellent quality & condition having been recently cleaned & restored. by our onsite restorer. Stamped to cupboard door, dating to around 1870. H = 175 cm W = 161 cm D = 57 cm Our shop "Newark Antiques & Interiors" is open Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 4pm.
