These solid wood blocks (including the stem) measure approximately: 9.5 X 3.5 X 3.5 5.5 X 3.5 X 3.5 3.5 X 3.5 X 3.5 Made with a Shou Sugi Ban (burnt finish) technique, these pumpkins were burnt until charred. After it cools, the soft grain is carved out using a nylon brush until it has almost returned to its original color, leaving the hard grain black. The entire wood block is then stained with a water-based stain & finished with a water-based polyurethane wood varnish.
