Description
Shigaraki is located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, & is recognised as playing a significant part in the long history of Japanese ceramics. It is included as one of Japan's six old kilns - being said to have a history of 1260 years. in 1976 Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan. Hechimon is a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, Marui Seito. These petite Japanese cups are the perfect size to savour each sip. They can be used for sake, tea, or paired with the incense rings & circles as a base. As every cup is handcrafted, each is unique & will differ slightly from piece to piece. We recommend pairing with the Brushed Katakuchi Vessel, sold separately. Details: Sold individually. Measurements: approximately 7 W x 7 D x 4cm H Glazed ceramic. Made in Japan.
