I hand-built this small urn vase from earthenware clay. The form has lots of handmade detailing from the pierce scalloped edge to the wide flat handle. Using majolica glazing techniques, I finished it with a loosely brushed flower design on either side....and added tiny dots of gold luster on the handles just for that extra sparkle. This vase has a feminine & slightly romantic feel with its pinks, corals, & gentle rounded shapes....it would make a lovely accent piece on a night stand or dressing table filled with fresh blooms. Dimensions: height: 5 top opening: 4 3/4 x 2 1/2 width from handle to handle: 6 1/2 No circle is perfectly round, no edge is perfectly straight; I love to celebrate the work of human hands in every piece.
