Alright, so imagine this: I'm out there with my camera, which, by the way, seems to have its own quirky personality. It freezes at the most inopportune moments, like it's playing a game of red light, green light without telling me the rules. There I am, standing next to my photography hero, feeling a bit out of my depth. It's kind of like trying to make a souffl for the first time with a Michelin-star chef watching over your shoulder. So, we're on this incredible photo tour, right? But, of course, my camera chooses this time to go on strike. I'm frantically pressing the shutter, but it's like trying to get a cat to do a trick - absolutely fruitless. Meanwhile, everyone else is capturing these stunning shots, & I'm just there, giving my camera the stink eye. Then, just when things seem they can't get any worse, the bus is about to leave for our next location - the iconic Belem Tower at twilight, the shot I've been dreaming about. & what does my camera do? It suddenly decides to wake up from its slumber, just as the bus starts rolling away. Picture me, racing after the bus, camera in tow, yelling like I'm in some action movie. Luckily, they notice my one-man show & stop. Yep, I nearly missed the bus because my camera had impeccable timing. But here's the thing: persistence really does pay off. When we arrive at this place, it's like a scene from a fairytale. The sky's painting itself with hues of pink, orange & purple, & I'm there thinking, This is my moment. I take a deep breath, aim, & click. & the result? Absolutely breathtaking. The picture was a perfect symphony of light, color, & timing - a true testament to the idea that sometimes, the best moments come after a bit of a struggle. That photo of the Belem Tower at twilight? It was a triumph, a sweet victory against all the odds. Not bad for a day's work, huh? This sunset photo of St. Andr Restaurant recalls the atmosphere of another renowned destination, La Maison Rose in Paris.
