Hi Here is an antique. Georgian auction poster, dated 1819. A very interesting piece of social history, & of course, very decorative. It has been married to an antique 19th century frame & is under glass. Some notes, that look to be contemporaneous have been made on the left side - someone totting up their costs! The poster itself is in fragile condition. It is tanned & the flaking edges are visible all the way around. There are a couple of holes through which the backboard is visible. The frame has lots of chips where the gesso is visible beneath the ebonised finish. This is for lovers of the aged look. It is imperfect & timeworn. 52.5cm high by 37cm wide.
