Boujad rug or boujaad rug are woven at the edge of the Middle Atlas mountains, & made of natural virgin wool, often decorated with natural dyed wool. Moroccan rug tend to feature pink, red, orange... with irregular geometric patterns & designs that reflect the whim of the weaver. Boujad rugs are a really wonderful piece of 'folk' art that tell a tale of the lives for the women who make them. This rug is moroccan, berber, natural, vintage, handmade with natural wool on a cotton base. Durable carpet thanks to incredible skills of the weaver. It has medium to low piles . in good vintage conditions. As vintage can vary in age, please be aware that vintage items may have previously be use & may show some signs of use & there is few repaired holes (see the two last photos) .
