This Azilal rug was made by a woman of the Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This moroccan rug was made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. She created it with wool , & permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity & values through North African symbology & colors as she wove these designs. This piece is one of a kind. The rug is in excellent condition . Each was made by hand no mass production, no factories. This rug is incredibly densely knotted with a field in natural dyed WOOL . Handwoven with first quality wool & excellent quality weaving. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band & fringes. Luxuriously soft & dense under foot! Medium to high pile, 100% wool.
