This very special English Elm is from Wick Mill in Somerset which was built in 1301, it makes a stunning centrepiece for any home, it will surely take your breath away. The design of this chandelier is collaborative process between MooBoo Home & you, the customer. It is a bespoke made to order item & you can be assured that there wont be another like it! Once you join our order queue we should be able to give you a better time estimate, if you are on a deadline please message us first as we may be able to accommodate you. We know that our lead time is quite long at the moment & understand that you may be having work done now, or in the near future, & may not be able to wait for your fixture. Therefore to save time, & also the cost of having your electrician back, we can send in advance a hanging kit which includes your ceiling hooks, screws, ceiling cap with pre-wired small three pin connector plug with the drawing of your fixture for your builder/electrician to install in advance. that way, when your fixture arrives, it is simply a case of hanging & plugging in (we will have made sure that there is space in the top of the timber to hide the plug, so the view from below will still be seamless). This also makes it easy to take down your fixture for cleaning in the future. Please order the advance kit in our Etsy store. We want to make sure that you receive exactly what you want for your home & that's why we work with you to design your light. We can design a light that's personal to you. The Elm is very old & on some pieces original nails & iron work remain in place. The timber is approximately 15cm (varies from 12 - 20cm) x 15cm (varies 12 - 20cm), & the lengths are approximately 1m 60cm. We will send photos & dimensions of the pieces before we begin to make, or prior to your order being placed, so that we make sure that we get the right piece for you. This Elm is very old & very hard & in our opinion the timber is glorious when stripped back & simply finished with a matt varnish, as the photos show. Please note this fixture is very heavy, the pictured chandelier is 25kg & so you must ensure that you have a surface strong enough to hang the fixture from. You choose the cable colour (black is standard, please let us know if you would like us to use a different colour, we have hundreds to choose from) & finish of the bulb holders. We also need to know the distance that you would like between the ceiling & the top of the chandelier & also the maximum drop length (to the bottom of the bulb holder). Once you have chosen your components, & we have agreed on the overall size & finish, we will put the light together in our workshop & before the final wiring we will discuss with you the final lengths & juxtaposition (pattern) of the bulbs.
