Description
This Lion head artwork has been hand-made using various recycled metal tins & cans cut out & shaped around a steel wire frame to create a patchwork effect. the teeth are made using strips of aluminum drinks cans & marbles have been used for the eyes. This really is a very unique piece, it measures approximately 55cm wide & high & has a depth of around 40cm. This work of art is sure to turn heads & can also be used as a lampshade, simply mount it over a light fitting & the light will shine through the eyes & the holes created to attach the scrap metal to the wire frame. These works of art are exclusive to Modern Vintage, we have worked directly with the artisan on a fair trade basis & pride ourselves on the relationships we have with these talented individuals. OUR PACKAGING If you hadn't guessed already, we are pretty passionate about recycling at Modern Vintage. We have worked hard to ensure, where possible, that the packaging we use is 100% recyclable or biodegradable. in fact, the void fill we use is made from gm free starch & will simply dissolve under running water so doesn't even need to take up room in your bin! If you do find we have sent your item packaged with something less environmentally friendly, however, it's simply that we have received something sent to us this way & we'd rather re-use it than throw it away!
