18th Century oak dresser base with two deep pot drawers & three shelf open back dresser top. Antique rustic oak dresser base, plank top, two deep pot drawers with two swan neck drop handles per drawer. The base stands on four shaped plank legs there has been small sections replaced at the base of the legs where the furniture has stood for a couple of hundred years on a stone flag floor. These repairs are over 100 years old I would estimate. The plate shelves have the required grooves to stand your favourite plates. This is a wonderfully original item of early 18th century provisional furniture that is approaching 400 years of use. The dresser base could be used without the plate rack. I have a sales receipt from 1998 from the Dunmow Essex sales auction when it was bought for 1500. This will be included with the dresser. Dimensions: Dresser base 133cm wide x 52cm deep x 77cm high.
