This very tall bowl has an unusual shape that makes it quite interesting. It holds salad for about 4 people. You would think it might hold more, but the cutouts reduce the bowls capacity. - It measures 14 1/2 inches at the widest by 9 inches at the tallest. The height at the cutouts is about 4 1/2 inches. - The servers are included - A helpful hint to get an idea of the size is to use a tape measure & find the closest sized bowl or pot you have as a comparison. - Wash, rinse & dry when you are done with it. No dishwasher - Oil occasionally with olive oil I am a wood turner from Windsor Ontario & this has been my full time profession for about thirty years. I sell my turnings through galleries & craft shows, mostly in Ontario & on Etsy. I begin with whole logs & cut bowl blanks with a chainsaw. I then turn them on the lathe to a rough shape. At this point the wood is very wet & needs to be dried. The drying process usually takes about three or four months. Then the bowl is remounted on the lathe & turned to the final thickness & shape. Next it is sanded & the first coat of finish is applied. I use a mixture of linseed oil & pure tung oil as the finish. in total there are three coats applied. This gives a durable food safe finish with minimum buildup on the surface. I try to ship once or twice a week, but sometimes there could be a delay if I am at a craft show.
