This traditional Christmas tree Snowman decoration is turned in my workshop from beautiful irish splated beech, with the hat from Cotoneaster. The nose is made from mahogany. The features on this are hand painted. The snowman is sanded, sealed & then finished by applying a soft wax paste mixture of beeswax & carnauba wax. This gives the piece a smooth satin finish, showing off the beauty of the wood grain. It then had a brass eyelet fitted & a festive cord attached to using as a tree decoration. This piece is 155mm tall by 36mm wide (excluding nose!). This is 5 5/8in by 1 3/8in.
