Thank you for visiting my shop! I am a local woodworker & furniture designer in the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick. I'm inspired by the industrial landscape & the vibrant pops of color from graffiti, art installations & colorful fashion of the neighborhood locals. My surroundings always find its way into my design/work & will evolve just as the ever-transient nyc evolves around me. My desire is to simplify & bring accessibility to custom furniture that is otherwise a long, arduous & oftentimes confusing process. Thank you for viewing my mid-century modern platform bed listing. This bed is made of 100% solid hardwood maple. I do not use any softwoods or wood veneers on anything I make. My goal is to produce handcrafted furniture that will literally last a lifetime. The Willoughby bed is incredibly sturdy but still offers a low profile & sleek design that gives an airy feel to any bedroom. Dimensions (for Full sized Mattress) Bed Frame: Width - 60inches Length- 80 inches Height - 10 inches Headboard: Width- 60 inches Height- 34 inches Depth- 5 inches The headboard is again made from solid maple slats with a mix of Sapele (African Mahogany) slats to provide depth & dimension to the headboard. The Willoughby bed was designed with mobility in mind considering I live in New York & we often move apartment regularly. Everything is made with you in mind for the ease of putting the bed together yourself (no complicated IKEA-level assembly). I also can get white glove service as well to assemble the bed for you.
