Natural Wood Ogham Wand Pendant Elder/Ruis The Witches' Tree! This is a fabulous pendant or mini wand made from a small section of a branch of an Elder tree. It's the same as my other Ogham branch pendants, but the symbol is carved into the curved surface of the wood instead of burned into a flat space. I won't burn Elder wood; there's a strong tradition against it in the area where I live, & the line in the Wiccan Rede that says "Elder is the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed you'll be" seems pretty clear. I've removed the bark because Elder bark falls off after a while & I want you to enjoy this piece for a long time. The carved symbol is quite bold, but apart from that the pale wood with its close fine grain is almost the colour of straw. It has an interesting cluster of knots at the top. Incredibly lightweight, you'll be able to wear this all day in the greatest comfort. This is a fabulous pendant to wear to honour the Crone aspect of the Goddess, & will boost your magic if worn during ritual. These wooden pendants are popular with anyone who likes natural looking adornments.
