This Chinese hat stand or cap vase with hand-painted pink flowers has a hexagonal form; each of the 6 sides has a keyhole-shaped cut-out. The piece is 10-7/8 tall x 5 x 4-1/2 & is marked with Chinese characters. There are 2 tight hairlines, 1 is 2 long (photo 9), the other 1 long (photo 10). There are no chips or flakes, & there is some wear to the gold trim around the top edge. I purchased this vase about 1979 or '80, so I know it is at least 43 years old, & may be older.
