Vintage Boucherouite Rug, Handmade in Morocco. Size : 94cm x 220cm Boucherouite means rag in Moroccan Arabic & are often simply just called 'berber'. Boucherouite Rugs are made by Moroccan Berber women, for domestic use. & production of wool from sheepherding has been much reduced. Because wool became rarer in Morocco, they started to use recycled synthetic materials such as scraps from different textiles, wool & cotton. Boucherouite The composition shows rows of multicolored triangle pattern with borders. Washable & not out of this world expensive. The carpet is in very good condition. PLEASE NOTE: -Vintage or handmade items are not factory made & may have minor variations & imperfections.
