This is a stunning carved oak cabinet originating from France. It is fairly modern but extremely well made, you can usually tell by how heavy a piece is & this one has some weight! I have pictured this with only one shelf however there are actually 3 in total, the extra shelves are included in the sale to give you maximum flexibility. To refurbish this piece, I chose Athenian Black leaving some raw wood exposed & then a wash of pearlescent glaze, this has created a really sophisticated gunmetal effect. The back of the cabinet has been decoupaged with a bold tropical print in deep pinks, magenta’s & green’s. I thought this could work nicely as a bar perhaps (please ask me if you require led lighting fitted, this is an optional extra & I can provide you a quote for the work) I have already checked & tall spirit bottles will fit inside. Otherwise it could be a stunning bedside cabinet, hall table with a lamp on top or linen cupboard in a bathroom. Although this is vintage, the condition is excellent to be really honest, nothing to report!
