Antique Early 1900's French Tureen, Ancient Bowl, Bertrand of Bordeaux, Earthenware, Ironstone, Green, French Brocante Simply stunning tureen made by Lon Bertrand of Bordeaux, dating to the start of the 1900's. The model is called 'Anemones' (flowers that are in the Buttercup family). Pieces by Bertrand are very rare & collectible, there seems top be very little information available on the man himself. The bowl is just beautiful. It has some lovely patina, a little tea staining here & there, shadows in the glaze that only time & use can deliver. Over 100 years of history & use make this tureen look so special. The only chip it has is on the underside of the foot, totally out of sight & no problem for the bowl whatsoever. Little stains & nicks, it is just lovely. The inside of the bowl is actually very clean, just some dis-coloration. Please see photos for details, they form part of the description.
