Description
I hand dyed the cotton fabric for the front of this wall hanging using a double dyeing process. I first dyed the fabric with indigo using shibori techniques & then I used professional Procion dyes using an ice dye method. The back of the wall hanging is shibori indigo dyed fabric. I stitched around the shapes & along the edges. This wall hanging has wonderful patterns & colors & reminds me of a rainbow prism. The panel itself measures 26 x 17 inches. The wooden dowel is 18 1/2 inches wide. It easily hangs on a wall with the dowel & two attached cloth loops. It is signed & dated on the back. Please hang out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
