Our stoneware bowls, like all of our products, are functional but designed to be appreciated as a display item too. They are all microwave & dishwasher safe, so easy to keep clean as well as being oven-proof. This bowl is solidly made - a little heavier than our usual bowls - the chunky nature suited the shape more! This bowl has been glazed with blue & 'ironstone' glazes to produce a blue/grey finish with streaks of pale, rusty brown & hints of purple from the ironstone glaze. The bowl is widest in the mid-section, so makes an excellent serving bowl - keeping the food a little warmer than a more traditional open-topped bowl. The taller sides make it great for holding 6 portions of curry at a curry feast - but it works equally well as a salad bowl.
