It's protected with semi-matt natural hard oilwaxes that are resistant to abrasion as well as dirt. I chose hard oilwax that allow it to breath & also protect the material in natural way. Water-repellent. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk & water in accordance with German DIN 68861 - 1A - no water spots. Finish is safe for humans, animals & plants(resistant to saliva & perspiration acc .German DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys acc.
