Description
Vintage grey painted metal industrial locker unit consisting of eight lockers with doors, in four vertical modules, riveted together (rivets could be drilled or ground out to separate them). Each door has three vent slots & a label holder, in the classic style, though these aren't particularly old. I think they're genuine workplace pieces, rather than later copies made for the home, when that got hip, but they're probably 1980's. There's a coat hook inside each, & a plastic knob on each door, except one is missing (they bolt on so easy to replace). The doors just slide up off their hinges, for transport or, I don't know; variety? There's no keys, so I guess lockers is a bit of a misnomer, sorry! The doors stay shut ok though. A couple need a little shove to shut them where they're a bit misshapen. Condition is fair: structurally it's sound but there's plenty of cosmetic damage; scratches, dents, scuffs & paint splatters. Two or three doors have been spray painted silver. A hole or two; one about 10mm in the side, one in a door. The odd bit of powdery rust, mainly on the top but not serious. One door is a bit more battered than the others but all work fine. Generally these have a rather urban feel, I think it's fair to say. You can't mass produce that..
