I love smokey charcoal black in any rug, but to accompany a gorgeous color like watermelon blush is just so special. & on top of that, to be filled with charming animals, shrubs, trees, mountains, stars, & pinwheels, amongst other nomadic motifs, is just really nothing short of amazing. AND, as if this wasn't enough, there are the iconic Peacock motifs making an appearance - these birds are the birds of royalty & they symbolize immortality & beauty. Oh, you thought we were done? No, to elevate this gem even more - you will note that at the top of the rug you see bands of abrash from smokey black, to plum, to midnight blue - WHAT?! Where in the world did that come from? That is just such a charming birthmark of the rug. TONS of earthy mocha, chestnut, espresso, & almond hues that add a wonderful grounding element to the rug. This piece just gets better & better as you keep looking at it. Some rugs just capture & check off all of the boxes - this is one of those pieces.
