Name: GORGEOUS Antique Rug | Rare Camel Navy Combo with Unique Medallion Size: 6.8 x 10.5 Age: Antique Pile: Low with patina throughout with some areas of missing pile that we can have re-piled to bring it back to its original condition if you want - inquire to discuss About: I've named this rug Dean, after James Dean - a timeless & iconic figure respectively. This rug really is stoic in its feel - an antique rug hailing from the Mountains of the greatest rug weaving country ever known. Uncommon size for the American market as this piece was woven solely for the European market - giving its narrow & long size. This piece has everything from beauty, to uniqueness, to age, & soul. The lack of corner spandrels gives this piece an openness just having the medallion surrounded by a jungle of colors highlighting the floral & vine motifs. The medallion itself could be a rug - it has such intrigue & qualities of true art. The abrash (natural variation of colors) in the rug giving it its two-toned look isn't even straight - which is SO SO wonderful. This is human, this is art - the imperfection even has imperfection! The camel border is rare & the geometric elements are asymmetrical in shape - giving the rug an underlying charm accompanying it's bold & geometric demeanor. This rug has some age-related wear with some threadbare areas adding a nice & genuine look as a show-stopping character piece! This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
