The important stuff: -12 oz -Hand-wash recommended -Dishwasher & microwave safe -Black-grey mountain motif -Dark blue interior The process: Making pottery is a lengthy process. I knead the clay by hand to remove any air bubbles & then shape the clay on the wheel. The piece dries for a day & then I trim away excess clay, add the handles & decorations & then let it dry for several days. It is fired for 8 hours in the kiln, then cooled for 24 hours. I dip it in glaze & wipe the bottom clean so that it doesn't stick to the kiln during the second firing. It is then fired for another 12 hours. I measure the size, inspect for imperfections, sand the bottom & then it is finally ready for its forever home. All of these steps are performed with love & care!
