The midnight violet color is a variable dark purple on a foundation of black. We only use stoneware for our pieces as it is the strongest & most durable type of clay available. It has wonderful thermal properties, is very dense, pleasant to hold, & will last a lifetime with care. Process Mugs are thrown on the pottery wheel from stoneware clay. After a period of drying, a hand-pulled handle is added. The bottom is smoothed & stamped with the Lohtu Ceramics logo. Personalized inscriptions are hand written on the underside of the mug (if requested) All pieces are glazed with lead-free glaze & high-fired for long-lasting strength & durability. Pricing & Capacity Pieces are priced according to the weight of the raw clay used.
