This extension dining table is made of solid walnut. The 36 x 72 everyday size we photographed is perfect for 6 people. When you add the 2 - 18 leaves you can seat 10. It features a Seymour edge. This table is an end extension table which means that you add a leaf to each end. Without the leaves, the table looks & functions as a standard table which would be used as an everyday table. With an end extension table, the grain on the core table runs lengthwise & on the leaves it runs across the table for a breadboard effect. It gives the wood a matte finish. We like this finish because it is durable having been originally designed for floors & is food safe.
