This mug is hand painted, featuring a beautiful mandala design in pink & white. It was painted with multi surface acrylic paints, & then heat cured to make it last with proper care. The mandala is known for bringing peace & joy with its soothing patterns & vibrant colors. It will always represent healing to me. My love of the mandala started about a year ago when I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Long Term Lyme & was debilitated by it. It was almost overnight that I went from being active, exercising daily, having a high impact job to bed or couch bound depending on the day. I was forced by my failing body to quit my job & give up most of the things that I love. I had to find something to focus on. The one thing I found I could still physically do, was paint. I was looking for something to fill my time & I found so much more than that. I found peace, joy, & emotional healing in my art. I'm still in the desert place but am getting great medical care & will be back on my feet eventually. Until then, I continue to paint & thank God for the gift that has come from this season of life. The gift of my new business: Black Dot Designs. (Any guesses on how the name came about)?
