Studio pottery vase by John Davidson of Truro. The vase, hand-thrown in porcelain, is in a classical form with a slightly extended, narrow neck. The vase is presented in a complex mottles light-green glaze with striking gilded bands around the shoulder & rim. The piece is marked to the foot with the JD impressed mark of John Davidson & probably dates from the early 1980s. The vase stands 5 (13 cm) tall & measures around 2.75 (7 cm)across the widest point of the shoulder. The vase is in excellent condition but has a very small flaw in the edge of the rim. The form of the nick suggests it is a production flaw rather than subsequent damage. A lovely tactile piece. studio Pottery Vase By John Davidson Of Truro.
