A pair of metal field targets silhouettes, up-cycled into chairs ! The most unusual items I've come across so far, & as with a lot of our second hand furniture you become slightly attached whilst cleaning & restoring. Whether acquired from a loving home, bought from new or handed down through the generations, the furniture comes with its own history & usually a story, this has got to be the best yet! These are actual field targets, the story is that that a number of the targets where commissioned by the M.O.D. to be converted into chairs for use in the officers mess hall. They are extremely heavy & because of the wide seat base & angled backrest, whilst they don't look it, they are really comfortable. If it's the rare & unusual you're after, these chair are definitely a one off, suitable for indoors or out or maybe as bedside tables. With visible wear & tear obvious from our photos, it's only when you look & study closely that they have a character all of their own, certainly a talking piece! A great Man Cave purchase!
