According to Turkish tradition, young ladies used to weave kilim rugs to give to their husbands as wedding gifts. Natural hand-spun wool was used for this rug. Although the rug was weaved in the 1950s, the lady used 19th century's patterns. The patterns fit well in our modern houses this century.
